Balanced Holiday Eating

Balanced Holiday Eating

Quick Tip:

Use the “Pick 3” approach when building meals or party plates: protein, produce, and something you truly enjoy.

Why It Helps:

Balancing satisfaction with nutrition helps you feel good physically and still enjoy seasonal foods.

Try This Today:

  • Add a protein source to every meal (meat, eggs, yogurt, cheese, nuts, hummus).

  • Put produce on your plate early - this is where many of us are short, even more so this time of year.

  • Choose one treat intentionally and enjoy it slowly. And, if you really, really want another...? Okay, another treat. Intentionally.

My perennial tip is to skip the year-round items and aim for truly seasonal foods.
